They are fictional characters from the creative talents of the author. As Patricia enjoyed her wonderful environment, she gathered all the incredible gifts that the trees would leave on the ground,
took them to her workshop and started creating the characters that you are about

took them to her workshop and started creating the characters that you are about to get to know and love as much as her 8 grandchildren.
Casa and Rina are beautifully created, along with their boat which takes them off on their wonderful journeys. Her passion is evident in the beautiful photographs she uses as illustrations in her books.

Patricia Flannery feels fortunate to live in this lovely area on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia.
She and her husband purchased the property in 1979, so they have had a great deal of time to enjoy this wonderful land and to be part of the changing seasons, fortunately not too extreme.
They are up on the hinterland at Mangrove Mountain,

She and her husband purchased the property in 1979, so they have had a great deal of time to enjoy this wonderful land and to be part of the changing seasons, fortunately not too extreme.
They are up on the hinterland at Mangrove Mountain, so the mornings can be quite crisp in winter and the days very hot in summer.
The flora and fauna are a delight to explore and Patricia is grateful for having had the opportunity to live in this spiritual land for so long.
Craft Creek is where her She-Oak Critters start their journey. The Creek runs through their property and eventually ends up at Spencer on the Hawkesbury River.
The She-Oak Critters, Casa and Rina, will have many adventures to share.
